Position Summary
Bright Shadows Telepsychiatry Services is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support psychiatric and behavioral health services. The LPN plays a critical role in coordinating patient care, supporting providers, monitoring clinical workflows, and ensuring high-quality patient experiences across telehealth and in-person services. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Assist providers with patient intake and clinical preparation
- Obtain and document patient vital signs (when applicable)
- Review patient medical history and medications
- Support medication reconciliation processes
- Monitor patient symptoms and report concerns to providers
- Assist with care coordination and follow-up communication
Patient Care Coordination
- Conduct patient outreach and follow-up calls
- Support treatment plan implementation
- Provide patient education related to medications and care plans
- Assist with referrals, labs, and coordination of outside services
- Monitor patient compliance with appointments and treatment
Telehealth Support
- Prepare patients for telehealth appointments
- Troubleshoot basic technology issues
- Ensure telehealth consent and documentation compliance
- Support virtual clinic workflow efficiency
Administrative & Documentation Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR
- Assist with prior authorizations and medication requests
- Support insurance coordination as needed
- Ensure timely chart updates and clinical notes support
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Strong patient communication skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems and technology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Preferred
- Behavioral health or psychiatric experience
- Telehealth experience
- Medication management support experience
- Care coordination background
Compensation: $27.00 per hour
